Carrom Competitions
A mega inter-school carrom competition was conducted on January 25, 2020, in our school campus by Neelan Carrom Academy. Students from various schools in and around Guduvanchery participated in the mega event and won prizes.
Chess competitions
Chess competitions are regularly conducted in the school to encourage students to participate and showcase their skills. Chengalpattu District Inter-School Chess Tournament for students was conducted on August 13, 2022, by Neelan’s Chess Academy. Nearly 500 students took part in the event. All participants were given participation certificates. Winners were given cash prizes, certificates, and trophies for each grade category from grades 6 to 9.
Abacus
Students have made us proud in state-level, national-level, and international-level abacus competitions. Master Sai Ishaan of Grade 7 won a gold medal in international abacus competitions held in Hong Kong in 2018. He has also created history by winning a silver medal at such a young age in competitions held in Taiwan in 2017.
Seminars and Workshops
Regular training sessions through workshops and seminars are conducted for teachers to keep themselves updated in all spheres of their subjects and also with regard to the need of the educational system. These sessions help them to bring in more efficient skills and development ideas helping them to use better ways to teach.
